Asheville, NC

Education: B.S. of Psychology (UNC-Charlotte)

Activities/Hobbies: During my off time from school, I enjoy going to new restaurants, trying new adventures, and traveling. I also love being surrounded by friends, playing sports, going to breweries, and making the most of my time with friends & my two doggies, Charlotte and Otis.

Why Chiropractic: I decided to become a chiropractor for many reasons. As a retired D-1 athlete, I wanted to be a part of finding the problem, instead of subsiding the pain of where it hurts or covering the symptoms up. I want to educate the young how to take proper care of their bodies under any environment or sport. One’s overall well-being starts with the nervous system. I want to help others discover their most optimal state of wellbeing by being the hand that gets them there. People go years, months and days not knowing or understanding the trauma our bodies endure. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. Our nervous system holds the power of all three. I want to be close to that. That is why I chose to become a chiropractor.

Favorite thing about Sherman: I love how tight knit the campus is. Everyone knows everyone. The connection from the start is there. You can easily assess resources, peers, and professors. Sherman really wants you as a student and person to thrive. There’re multiple opportunities to be a part of something more than just your studies. At the end of the day, no matter how overwhelming it was, I am always leaving proud.

Favorite thing about the Upstate Region: My favorite thing about the upstate region is the location. You can easily access downtown Spartanburg, Greenville and Asheville, NC within the hour. You can also go to Charlotte, NC rather quickly. You’re able to access the mountains or the beach over the weekend. You get all four seasons of the year here in the upstate!
