Interns Join Chiropractic Health Center at Sherman College

Sherman College Welcomes New Class of Chiropractic Interns

Twenty-four interns are now ready to serve the community at the Sherman College Chiropractic Health Center, a teaching clinic for senior students in the final stage of their Doctor of Chiropractic program. The interns celebrated this milestone during a pinning ceremony on Sherman College’s campus at 2020 Springfield Road in Boiling Springs.

Hands-On Learning in a Teaching Environment

The Chiropractic Center provides a supervised, hands-on learning environment coordinated by licensed doctors of chiropractic. Because the clinic is open to the public, residents of Upstate South Carolina receive affordable, high-quality chiropractic care through 35,000 patient visits per year.

Interns gain experience in:

  • Case histories and physical/spinal examinations
  • X-ray and diagnosis
  • Report of findings and chiropractic adjustments
  • Case management

They also have the opportunity to collaborate with the research department, complete remaining clinical and business courses, and advance the profession through evidence-based study.
