Planet Chiropractic has named Director of Evidence-Informed Curriculum and Practice Christopher Kent, D.C., J.D., as its 2019 Chiropractic Educator of the Year. Widely acknowledged as one of the brightest minds in chiropractic, Kent’s passion for facilitating human empowerment led him to the chiropractic profession, where he has served as a practitioner, educator, author, lecturer, and researcher.

In his role at Sherman College, Kent is responsible for overseeing and directing the initiation and collaboration of projects and studies with faculty, students, and staff that increase the quality and quantity of evidence applicable to the curriculum and practice of chiropractic, with a special focus on the unique approach to the science, art and philosophy of traditional/principled chiropractic.

Michael Dorausch, D.C., of Planet Chiropractic was excited to announce Kent’s selection. “[Dr. Kent] held my hand through the unknown world of chiropractic school,” he shared on the site. “I listened to Dr. Kent…on my way to and from chiropractic school nearly every day. Through Dr. Kent I learned that clinical excellence in chiropractic did not require selling out to a mechanistic approach.”
