How do you stay connected to Sherman? To stay connected I attend Lyceum every year since graduating and keep up with colleagues and professors through Facebook and attend conferences all across the country.

Most Memorable Classmate: My most memorable classmate was Keisha Hall Smith. We spent so many hours studying together for classes and board exams. We also made so many memories on campus at Sherman College.

Favorite Sherman College Instructor: Dr. Beth McDowell-Reizer was always my favorite instructor at Sherman College. She always respected our time and treated us more like colleagues than students and made her classes fun and low stress, while still making sure we knew the material. Thank you for that!

Favorite Memory: One of my favorite memories was when my husband who is also a Sherman graduate, Joe Messina, and I found out we were expecting our first baby the morning of Lyceum 2017!  I also received the Rising Star Award that day. Fast forward a year later and we had our firstborn, Cooper, at Lyceum with us at 4 months old playing with other chiro babies, while we listened to some of the best speakers in chiropractic! I’m so grateful to chiropractic and Sherman College, especially for being so supportive of families being included in the profession!

Where has Sherman improved most? I think the best improvement that Sherman has made is creating change ahead of the curve. They have made improvements to the campus, profession, student studies, and success in practice in such a short amount of time and are continuing to level up!

What do you see for Sherman’s next 50 years? In the next 50 years, I see a lot of growth for Sherman College and I hope that it maintains its family ‘hometown’ atmosphere for current students and graduates.
