Spartanburg, SC, chiropractor and educator Amilliah Kenya, D.C., ’06, has been honored with the Spirit of Sherman College Award from her alma mater, Sherman College of Chiropractic. The Spirit of Sherman College Award is presented to Sherman graduates who exemplify the true spirit of Sherman College in their professional lives.
A 2006 Sherman College graduate, Kenya is an associate professor in basic and clinical sciences at Sherman College. Kenya pioneered the Student Success program at the college and continues to teach and mentor faculty and students; she is also a sponsor and advisor for the student Christian Chiropractic Club. Kenya remains active in her community by participating in Christian outreach programs and missions, bible study groups, refugee groups, and other ministry needs. Kenya works alongside her husband, Charles Kenya, D.C., ’06, at Kenya Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC.
Sherman College honored alumni, chiropractors, and supporters during its 48th Lyceum, a homecoming and continuing education event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each year and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs. More than 600 people participated this year.
