Brown Named ROAR Supporter of the Year by Sherman College of Chiropractic

North Tazewell, VA, chiropractor Chris Brown, D.C., CCSP, was recently named Reach Out and Recruit (ROAR) Supporter of the Year by Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC, in appreciation of his contributions, time and commitment to growing the chiropractic profession.

 

The ROAR Supporter of the Year award is given to an exceptional ROAR member who has gone above and beyond to recruit students to Sherman College. ROAR asks its doctors to reach beyond their comfort zone and help Sherman recruit future leaders for the profession, which Dr. Brown has certainly done.

 

A 1998 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Brown lives in North Tazewell, VA, where he works at Chiropractic First. Brown is a current member of the Virginia Chiropractic Association and maintains certification with the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (CCSP) as well as advanced training in auriculotherapy, decompression therapy, Active Therapeutic Movement, and Torque Release Technique (advanced proficiency).

 

He published “A Case Study: Resolution of Recurrent Pseudoseizures in a 14-Year-Old Female Using Torque Release Technique.” Brown also serves as councilman of the Town of Tazewell and stays connected to his community by serving as a board member at his local YMCA, Christian school and church. He is a current Sherman College Regent and Reach Out And Recruit (ROAR) supporter. Brown and his wife, Melissa, have three girls.

 

Sherman College is honoring alumni, chiropractors, and supporters during its 48th Lyceum, a homecoming and continuing education event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each year and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs. More than 600 people are expected to participate in the event this week, October 28-30.

 

Registration is open for Lyceum 2022, register early for next year’s event.
