Williamsburg, KY, chiropractors Matthew Christopher and Elizabeth Rice Christopher, D.C.s, were recently named Rising Stars by Sherman College of Chiropractic. The Rising Star Award is given to recent Sherman College graduates who have demonstrated exceptional achievements and service in their community.

Dr. Matthew Christopher is a June 2009 graduate and Dr. Elizabeth Rice Christopher is a September 2009 graduate of Sherman College. After associating in Hazard and Prestonsburg, KY, the couple opened Christopher Chiropractic in August 2010, where they currently employ several part-time staff members. Christopher Chiropractic is a division of Eagle Health and Wellness, P.S.C.

Christopher Chiropractic was voted Best of the Best in the 2012 People’s Awards for chiropractic offices in Williamsburg. The Christophers give back to their community by sponsoring the local high school and college sports teams. They are members of the Keep Kids Safe coalition to provide car seat safety checks and are involved with promoting community sports and fitness activities.

Sherman College named its 2012 award recipients May 24-26 as part of Lyceum, an annual continuing education and homecoming event attended by hundreds of chiropractors throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held on the college’s campus in Spartanburg, SC, and involves three days of seminars, special events, and other programs.
