Chiropractor Frank Hahn, D.C., of Franklin Park, NJ, recently received the Spirit of Sherman College Award from Sherman College of Chiropractic in recognition of his contributions, time and commitment to the chiropractic profession, the public and the college. The award was announced May 27 in Spartanburg, SC, as part of the college’s annual homecoming program. The Spirit of Sherman College Award is presented to the Sherman graduate who exemplifies the true spirit of Sherman College in his/her home community.

Dr. Hahn received his doctor of chiropractic degree in 2003 and opened Chiropractic LifeCenter shortly thereafter. He quickly transferred his student membership to active chiropractor membership in two chiropractic professional associations — the Garden State Chiropractic Society and the Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations. Since 2005, he has served as editor of the Garden State Chiropractic Society quarterly newsletter, Straight To You. Additionally, he developed a 14-week internship program for future chiropractic students in order to help the profession grow.

Dr. Hahn Volunteers with Chiropractic for Humanity at Elijah’s Promise Soup Kitchen and also created and developed a website recognizing outstanding achievements by chiropractic students across the country.

Sherman College named its 2010 award recipients May 27-29 as part of its Lyceum, an annual continuing education and homecoming event which is attended by hundreds of chiropractors throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held on the college’s campus in Spartanburg, SC, and involves four days of seminars, special events and other programs.
