We are excited to be teaming up with the South Carolina DMV so that you can share your #ShermanPride on the road. This opportunity is only available for passenger vehicles licensed in South Carolina.
Requirements to exchange your plate:
- Your current registration must be in good standing with the DMV.
- Your decal expiration must not be due to expire within 90 days.
- You must have your current vehicle registration.
Cost: The cost for the plate is $70 every two years (in addition to the normal cost of your plates). This cost does not include customizations and supports student scholarships at Sherman College. These plates will have random numbers selected by the state.

Cost: In addition to the $70 every two years, there is a one-time $30 personalization fee (in addition to the normal cost of your plates). Your check to the SCDMV should be $100 for your first two years for a personalized plate. Personalization is a one-time fee, so the ongoing cost to maintain your specialty Sherman plate after the initial two-year period will be $70 every other year (in addition to the normal cost of your plates)
