How to Apply

How exciting! Here’s what you need to know before applying to Sherman College.

We want applying to Sherman College of Chiropractic to be a straightforward and positive experience. After all, you are taking the next step toward becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic, which is an amazing achievement! Here is what you need to know before you apply to Sherman College.

When should I apply?

Sherman College enrolls students four times each year, with new quarters usually beginning in January, April, July and October. We recommend applying anywhere from six months to one year before you plan to enroll. This will give you and your admissions counselor enough time to work together to ensure you have the best possible chances of gaining acceptance into our chiropractic program.

How do I apply? How long will it take?

Our online application is here. From start to finish, the application will take you about five to ten minutes to complete. The application consists of mostly of demographic information and academic history. There is also a place on the application where you can upload and submit your two essays and two letters of recommendation. Don’t have these complete yet? No problem! You can leave this section blank and submit these documents to your counselor later on.

Is there an application fee?

The application fee is $50, and payment is due at the time of submission. You can waive your application fee by visiting our campus or by attending Showcase Sherman Weekend!

I applied. Now what?

Once you submit the application, your admissions counselor will immediately start working with you. We usually contact you within one to two business days of receiving your application to let you know that we have successfully received it. Your counselor will let you know what other documents (such as letters of recommendation, essays and/or transcripts) we may still need to complete your application.

When will I hear back?

Once your application is complete and all supporting documentation is received, it is then submitted for approval. You usually have an answer within 7-10 days. This time frame can sometimes be shorter or longer depending on your academic history and how quickly you submit all of your documents. The more you keep in contact with your admissions counselor, the better.
