Knowles, D.C., Receives Spirit of Sherman College Award

Boulder chiropractor Daniel Knowles, D.C., has been honored with the Spirit of Sherman College Award from his alma mater, Sherman College of Chiropractic, in Spartanburg, SC. The Spirit of Sherman College Award is presented to the Sherman graduate who exemplifies the true spirit of Sherman College in his/her professional life.

Dr. Knowles is a 1996 Sherman College graduate and a member of the college’s Board of Trustees. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University (1992). Since 1999 he has owned and run a successful private practice in Boulder, Colorado.

Last year, Dr. Knowles initiated the college’s Sherman Connect Call program, a leading resource for students, alumni and supporters of the college. This free, weekly teleconference program
features guest speakers who share the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic and its successful application in practice. Dr. Knowles developed the program and remains its leader to this day, continuing to secure guest speakers and host calls.

He is active in the profession, serving as an instructor for Network Spinal Analysis- Wise World Seminars and a member of several professional organizations, including the Colorado Chiropractic
Association, the Colorado Chiropractic Wellness Alliance, the International Federation of Chiropractors and Organizations, the World Chiropractic Alliance and the Association for Network Care. He is the founder of Lifetime Wellness Practice and has served as a mentor and coach for Madeira Success Strategies.

Dr. Knowles has presented at several Sherman College continuing education programs, as well as at Sherman College’s International Research and Philosophy Symposium (IRAPS), On Purpose, New
Beginnings, Network Spinal Analysis Certification Level Intensive Training and more.

Sherman College named its 2013 award recipients May 23-25 as part of Lyceum, an annual continuing education and homecoming event attended by hundreds of chiropractors
throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held on the college’s campus in Spartanburg, SC, and involves three days of seminars, special events, and other programs.
