Spartanburg, SC, chiropractor Tara Levesque, D.C., has been honored with the Spirit of Sherman College Award from her alma mater, Sherman College of Chiropractic, also in Spartanburg. The Spirit of Sherman College Award is presented to Sherman graduates who exemplify the true spirit of Sherman College in their professional lives.
Dr. Levesque is a 2020 Sherman graduate, where she received the Milton W. Garfunkel Award, the highest award given at graduation. She is the owner of Generations Family Chiropractic, LLC, in Spartanburg, where she practices as a pediatric, pregnancy, and family chiropractor. She is an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the Palmetto State Chiropractic Association, where she has participated as an event speaker.
The motto Dr. Levesque uses in her email closing is, “You don’t need to be perfect, just better than you were yesterday.” This phrase depicts her aim to serve her patients and the people with whom she surrounds herself. Dr. Levesque enjoys spending time with her family, getting to know the people in her community, and volunteering to coach local youth sports teams. She and her supportive husband, Shaun, live in Spartanburg with their son, Logan.
Sherman College honored alumni, chiropractors, and supporters during its 49th Lyceum, a homecoming and continuing education event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each year and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs. More than 650 people attended this year’s event, held April 28-30.
