Sherman College supports prospective students through each step of the application process.
Choosing to attend chiropractic college is a huge decision. When it’s time to apply, you might feel both excited and anxious. But please don’t stress! Our admissions team is here to support you every step of the way on your journey to becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Apply Early
Sherman College enrolls students four times each year, with new quarters beginning in the winter, spring, summer, and fall. We recommend applying six months to a year in advance of when you’d like to begin chiropractic school. The earlier you apply, the sooner your admission counselor can start working with you to increase your chances of acceptance.
The Application Process
The process of applying to chiropractic college is easier than most undergraduate and graduate school applications. There is no interview process, and the application will take about 5 minutes to fill out once you have all your information together. After you apply, you will be paired with an admission counselor who works with your region.
You may begin and submit your application at any time, then send the required documentation later. To complete your application, you will need to have the following documents:
- Official transcripts
- Two letters of recommendation
- Two essays: “Why I will be an excellent Doctor of Chiropractic” and “Why I choose Sherman College”
The application fee is $50, but we will waive this fee if you visit the campus, virtually or in person, and/or if you attend a Showcase Sherman Weekend event.
Application decision notifications will vary depending on the quarter, timing, documents needed, and academic record. Your admission counselor will keep you updated each step of the way, including:
- When we receive needed documents
- What we are missing
- When your file is complete
