Sherman Connect Calls Ending

The Sherman Connect program will be coming to an end after its final two calls on April 2 and April 30. The weekly conference calls, established in 2012 by Daniel Knowles, D.C., ’96, and the college’s Board of Trustees, served as a leadership resource for students, alumni, and chiropractors in the field. Each Monday evening, the Board hosted elite guest speakers who shared on a variety of topics concerning the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic and its successful application in practice.
“These calls gave us a great opportunity to bring our students, alumni and other like-minded doctors of chiropractic together,” Sherman President Edwin Cordero, D.C., said of the program. “We extend a heartfelt thanks to our Board for their dedication to hosting calls and selecting speakers for the program over the past six years.”
Shifting priorities with both the Board of Trustees and the Office of Institutional Advancement, paired with declining participation on live calls, led the college to reevaluate the program. As the college continues to grow, these two groups are expanding their work in areas of fundraising, relationship development, and community outreach. As the strategic plan is revised, new programs supporting the college’s vision and goals will be considered and evaluated.
