Rivera Named Chiropractic Advocate of the Year by Sherman College

Rolando Rivera of Bayamón, Puerto Rico, has been named Chiropractic Advocate of the Year by Sherman College of Chiropractic in appreciation of his outstanding contributions, time and commitment to the chiropractic profession and the college.

 The Chiropractic Advocate of the Year Award is given to a non-chiropractor who has contributed to the advancement of Sherman College and the chiropractic profession in a significant and noteworthy manner.

As the Director of Presidential Initiatives, Rolando Rivera leads by example. His dedication and work ethic, combined with his drive, allows him to get the job done. He and his wife of 30 years, Graciela, have raised two boys.

A native of Bayamón, PR, Rivera earned a degree in Business Administration from InterAmerican University. He spent 22 years with the Bacardi Corporation as a manager in marketing and promotions. In 2015, Rolando joined Sherman College of Chiropractic as an International Recruiter and has been a significant contributor in the advancement of the college, particularly in the area of student enrollment.

Sherman College named its 2020 award recipients as part of Lyceum, a homecoming and continuing education event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each May and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs; this year’s Lyceum was held as a live-streaming event for the first time ever to preserve this crucial continuing education opportunity for Doctors of Chiropractic. More than 700 people participated.
