Tyler Evans, D.C., Honored with Service to the Profession Award from Sherman College of Chiropractic

Portsmouth, NH, chiropractor Tyler Evans, D.C., recently received the Service to the Profession Award from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC, in recognition of his contributions, time and commitment to the profession, the public and the college. The Service to the Profession Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary, unselfish and noteworthy service to the chiropractic profession.

A 2011 graduate of Life Chiropractic College West and currently in private practice in Portsmouth, Dr. Tyler Evans has demonstrated initiative, dedication and commitment for his chosen profession, especially in the area of upper cervical chiropractic care. Dr. Evans has a special interest in cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), presenting research at the International Chiropractors Association (ICA) Council on Upper Cervical Care Symposium, as well as being a two-time presenter for the annual Blair Upper Cervical Conference.

Dr. Evans has multiple affiliations and memberships, including the New Hampshire State Chiropractic Association, ICA Council on Upper Cervical Care and the Blair Upper Cervical Society. Most recently, Dr. Evans has demonstrated his kindness and support to Sherman College by being instrumental in the acquisition of the first CBCT unit at a chiropractic institution worldwide. This is certainly considered noteworthy and unselfish service in the history of our profession and Sherman College of Chiropractic.

Sherman College named its 2020 award recipients as part of Lyceum, a homecoming and continuing education event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each May and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs; this year’s Lyceum was held as a live-streaming event for the first time ever to preserve this crucial continuing education opportunity for Doctors of Chiropractic. More than 700 people participated.
