Amy Spoelstra, D.C., Receives Distinguished Service Award from Sherman College of Chiropractic

Coeur d’Alene , ID, chiropractor Amy Spoelstra, D.C., has been honored with the Distinguished Service Award from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC. This award is given to Sherman graduates who have distinguished themselves with service to the community, the profession, and Sherman College.

Dr. Amy Spoelstra graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic cum laude in 2008. She is creator of the Focus program, a multi-pillared approach to neuro-deflective behaviors associated with developmental, behavioral, socialization, and learning challenges in children and adults. She is founder of the Neuro-Deflective Retraining Method, Focus Educational Seminars, Focus AcademyTM and the Brain Blossom ProgramTM. She is also the founder of Focus Educational Services, where she trains and consults other doctors around the country in the Focus model and how to lead with brain development making the case for chiropractic.

Dr. Spoelstra co-founded Navigate Your Healing, an online platform designed to assist parents and families affected through the overwhelming and often isolating effects of neurodevelopmental disorders in children. She created the FOCUS program in her practice in 2011, and since that time has been helping children and adults with neurodevelopmental disorders in Coeur d’Alene, ID, and throughout the northwest.

Sherman College named its 2020 award recipients as part of Lyceum, a homecoming and continuing education event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each May and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs; this year’s Lyceum was held as a live-streaming event for the first time ever to preserve this crucial continuing education opportunity for Doctors of Chiropractic. More than 700 people participated.
