How do you stay connected to Sherman College? I have served on the Board of Trustees since 2016 (as Chair from 2018-2022). Even before that though, I attended Lyceum and IRAPS regularly and read everything that Sherman produces.

Most Memorable Classmate: Tom Gregory

Favorite Penn Straight College Instructor: Joe Strauss (100%)

Fun Memory: Penn Straight moved several times in its 17-year history. Its last location was in the beautiful Commonwealth Corporate Center, which was adjacent to the Commonwealth Golf Club, an Arnold Palmer-designed course that was rated one of the top 25 courses in Pennsylvania. However, that did not stop random golf balls from flying into classroom windows or meeting rooms. After the initial shock, inevitably someone would yell “Fore,” and everyone got a good laugh.

Favorite Lyceum Memory: I always loved the guest speaker under the big top on campus Friday night, followed by fireworks on campus (the 90s). However, my favorite part of Lyceum is consistently Infinite Principles (an annual alumni sponsored event).

What has been the best improvement to Sherman you have seen since you were a student?  The adoption of their Penn Straight brothers and sisters as alum!?! Seriously, so much has changed in 50 years, but the best thing is what has NOT changed, and that is Sherman’s commitment to the philosophical foundation upon which chiropractic is based. No principles, no profession. Thank you ever so much Sherman College.

What would you like to see for Sherman College? I would love to see Sherman continue to grow and adapt to changing times in education and society, all while remaining the undisputed leader in principled chiropractic. An anchor both for the profession and the world.
