What You Need to Know Before You Apply to Sherman
Applying to any college or graduate program can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re applying to a school or a job, there’s always a fear of the unknown—uncertain about what will happen next or when you’ll hear back. After all, you’re taking the next step toward becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic, which is a remarkable achievement! Here’s what you need to know before you apply to Sherman College.
When Should You Apply?
One of the most frequent questions we receive from prospective students is how far in advance they should apply. We suggest applying anywhere from six months to a year before your planned enrollment. This allows you and your counselor enough time to collaborate and increase your chances of being accepted into our chiropractic program.
How Long Will it Take?
From start to finish, the application will take about five to ten minutes to complete. The application mainly involves providing demographic information and academic history. When you begin your application, you will have access to your student portal, which will be your main hub throughout the process. You will also be able to upload your personal statement and letters of recommendation. You can start your application here.
What Does it Cost to Apply?
At Sherman, we aim to make your experience easy and stress-free. We’re happy to inform you that our online application is FREE!
What Happens After I Submit My Application?
Once you submit your application, your admissions counselor will immediately begin working with you, and you should hear from them within 24 hours. Your counselor will inform you of any additional documents we may still need, such as letters of recommendation, essays, or transcripts, to complete your application.
Once your application is complete, it is submitted for approval. Our team works efficiently to move your application through the acceptance process. Most students receive acceptance notifications within a week. The more you stay in touch with your admissions counselor, the better your chances!
