Tim Hartman, D.C., Named ROAR Career Advisor of the Year by Sherman College

Charlotte, NC, chiropractor Timothy Hartman, D.C., was recently named Reach Out and Recruit (ROAR) Career Advisor of the Year by Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC, in appreciation of his contributions, time and commitment to growing the chiropractic profession.
The ROAR Career Advisor of the Year award is given to an exceptional ROAR member who has gone above and beyond to recruit students to Sherman College. ROAR asks its doctors to reach beyond their comfort zone and help Sherman recruit future leaders for the profession, which Dr. Hartman has certainly done.
A chiropractor helped Dr. Hartman gain strength and the ability to walk after a near life-ending injury, and so at 16, he decided to become a chiropractor too. A 2017 graduate of Sherman College, Dr. Hartman received the Clinical Excellence Award, the B.J. Palmer Philosophy Distinction Award and the Service Distinction Award. He serves as President of Delta Sigma Chi, the most established fraternity for chiropractic professionals, and he was first-time back to back Toastmaster of the Year in Spartanburg.
Dr. Hartman has served on three mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic and is now excited for the opportunity to help people in the Charlotte area. Dr. Hartman has influenced close to 60 students to attend Sherman College, including his two younger sisters.
“Clearly, Dr. Hartman exemplifies passion, education, outreach and service in both his professional and personal lives,” said Sherman College President Edwin Cordero, D.C. “We are extremely grateful for his influence in the profession and for his guidance in referring students to Sherman College.”
Sherman College named its 2018 award recipients May 3-5 as part of Lyceum, an annual continuing education and homecoming event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each spring in Spartanburg, SC, and involves three days of seminars, special events, and other programs; this year more than 700 were in attendance.
