Dr. Brescia teaching a class.Q&A with Dr. Rick Brescia

Q: What motivates you to provide CE content for the profession?
A: I love teaching, so that is my motivation to do CE. I also think that, as a profession, if we create more value with analysis for patients, we would see a shift in the thinking and usage of chiropractic.

Q: What impacted your decision to pursue your Gonstead diplomate?
A: I dedicated my career to the Gonstead work early on as a student. I was introduced to it through a friend and had some great mentors that helped mold and guide me along my path through school and first entering practice.

Q: What can people expect to learn from your seminar series?
A: People can expect to learn the complete Gonstead system of analysis and subluxation correction. These are hands-on seminars working on x-ray analysis, scoping, palpation, and not just doing set ups, but feeling and understanding the thrust and correction.

Q: Who inspires you professionally?
A: My mentors have inspired me professionally: Dr. Rick Burns, Dr. Larry Troxell, Dr. Dan Lyons, Dr. Bill Decken, Dr. Chris Kent and Dr. Andy Kuecher.

Q: Where do you see the profession going in the future?
A: If we hold true to the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic, I see the profession growing and becoming stronger, gaining more cultural authority, and prospering. If we do not hold true to these, and as a profession, if we do not start to value chiropractic more and offer it to people as a stand-alone entity, we will fade off into the sunset.
