Patrick Lausier of Boiling Springs, SC, recently received the Service to Sherman College Award from Sherman College of Chiropractic in appreciation of his contributions, time and commitment to growing the chiropractic profession. The Service to Sherman College Award is given to individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary, unselfish and noteworthy service to Sherman College.

“Patrick played a crucial role in Sherman College’s campus transformation over the past two years,” said Sherman President Edwin Cordero, D.C. “He is never satisfied with anything less than the best for this college, and we are extremely grateful for his leadership and hard work during this process.”

Lausier joined the Sherman College staff as Director of Security and Maintenance in 2013; he has served on numerous committees and was named Staff Member of the Year in 2014. He demonstrated strong belief in and commitment to Sherman College’s mission and vision by playing a critical role in the construction and renovation of four buildings on campus, and he has served as subject matter expert to help guide the administration in numerous project decisions.

Lausier has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in technology from Saint Leo University, as well as two associate degrees from the Community College of the Air Force: one is in aerospace ground equipment technology and the other in instructor technology and military sciences. He earned a Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate from Villanova University.

Lausier was an aerospace ground equipment technician/superintendent with the United States Air Force from 1983 to 2011, serving in four states and five countries in Europe and the Middle East. During his service, Lausier received numerous Non-Commissioned Officer, Instructor of the Quarter and Instructor of the Year Awards as well as the Honor Guard of the Year Award. Some of his military decorations include five Meritorious Service medals, one commendation medal and three achievement medals.

Sherman College named its 2019 award recipients in May as part of Lyceum, an annual continuing education and homecoming event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each spring in Spartanburg, SC, and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs; this year approximately 700 were in attendance.
