Sherman College Presidential Search Update

Semi-Finalist Candidates Selected

The Sherman College Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that the search committee has chosen candidates for semi-finalist interviews that have taken place this past week. Their partner in the search, Diversified Search Group, vetted over 200 potential leaders and presented a slate of candidates that represented a variety of experiences and points of view for consideration.

The Board of Trustees is also pleased to share that they will meet with finalists the first week of October. After that, they will consider the committee’s feedback and select the next President of Sherman College.

Sherman College’s Board of Trustees and its fifth president, Edwin Cordero, D.C., announced in February that Cordero would complete his 10-year presidency this December and that the college would begin the search for its next leader. The college then selected Diversified Search Group and established a search committee including board members as well as representatives from the college’s executive leadership, Faculty Senate, Staff Council, alumni association, student body and leadership-level donors.

The search committee has worked with DivSearch over the past months to identify top candidates from applications and nominations, and seeks a president who will embrace the distinctive mission and core values of the college, who embodies a courageous spirit, demonstrates the depth and breadth of knowledge associated with a chiropractic community, and has the capacity both to consult with and lead such a community with conviction.

Sherman College of Chiropractic provides students with a comprehensive chiropractic education, preparing them to enter the field as doctors of chiropractic who are highly skilled, compassionate, ethical and successful. On its 80-acre campus in South Carolina, Sherman offers a first professional degree program unique in its approach to health care and known globally for the skill and art of chiropractic delivered by graduates.
